In Germany, it claims 100,000 victims every year and costs the economy more than 40 billion euros annually. In Europe, it would be as if two fully occupied jumbo jets crashed every day. And many, if not most, of those affected could be saved! This would require two things: Firstly, we need more people who are willing to help and then there would have to be freely accessible locations for defibrillators throughout the country and information technology requirements on how to reach them quickly in an emergency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote ext-animate--on is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Without a defibrillator, the chance of survival drops rapidly.<br>After just 10 minutes without resuscitation measures, the chance of survival is virtually 0 %.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Etwas Statistik vorweg: Jeder Mensch verliert im Laufe seines Lebens vier seiner Verwandten oder engen Freunde durch den \u201ePl\u00f6tzlichen Herztod\u201c.
